Default Front Steering/Suspension Rebuild

Hello, I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 V10 4x4 with a gross weight of 8800 lbs. I am re-doing my front end and want to get proper torque specs to do it right the first time.

I need specs for:

1. Drag link
Drag link adjustment sleeve

2. Track bar ball stud nut
Track bar axle bracket bolt

3. Steering stabilizer frame bolt
Steering stabilizer drag link nut

4. Sway bar links upper and lower specs

The service manual for your year truck will have that information and more - you can download it here - https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...e-manuals.html

I was looking at the service manual but there are two different trucks listed each with different torque specs. One with wax coat frame and one with e-coat frame. I have no idea what mine is. My truck was manufactured in Mexico which is supposed to have something to do with it for that year. Do you know by any chance?

I have a '96 Ram 2500 4x4, however, I have no idea as to what treatment was performed on my frame. Whatever it was, it was certainly minimal, as I've had to repair some rusted areas on it over the years. A couple of years ago, I removed the bed and coated the entire frame with Zero Rust to keep the rust at bay. Someone else here should be able to help with your other thread with that question.

I am assuming the wax is basically a bare steel frame with some sort of protestant on it similar to cosmaline. The e coat i would guess to say is electrostatic paint. If you have no paint on the frame it's wax if painted e coat.

That explanation makes a lot of sense. The front fuel tank cross member I pulled off a 2000 or 2001 Ram truck had a black coating on it and I wondered why my truck didn't have a coating like that on my frame, so I'd suspect that my truck's frame was a wax job.

I did compare the differences and the e coat(frame bolts) are the only ones that are different.
