Exclamation 46RE front band servo air test question

Howdy all, I'm on my third removal and soon to be reinstall of the 46RE in my dodge ram 2500.

I'm doing the air test on clutches and front / rear servo for the bands.

When I test the clutches and the rear band, they all hold pressure even after I stop applying pressure.

With the front band servo, When I apply air, the servo applies, but it also immediately leaks out any excess pressure. I don't know if this is a planned pressure bleed off or if its supposed to retain pressure like all the others.

Here is the video of my air test

Last time I posted it, the link didn't work so if its broken or not allowed, you can search YT for the title:

46RE transmission front and rear band servo test using air

I watched a video a few weeks ago where someone mentioned the front band may test differently than the rear band, but I can no longer find that video to do any comparison.

If anyone is familiar with doing these air tests and have experience of the differences or if its supposed to be the same all around, please let me know. I'd really love to know if its ok and I can go ahead and reinstall or if I need to be hunting down an air leak.

I made a video but it says 2 hours or more to upload it so its going to be a bit before its available.
Would love to install this tonight if its good to go.

There's a guy who posted his results on a YT video titled:

2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Transmission Rebuild | THE REASSEMBLY PT 2

at 5:16 seconds. It looks like his also releases pressure but its hard to say if its exactly the same as mine.

I never had the front servo stick like you said, I think that you might have a broken spring. Not sure if you have removed the servo yet? A vise grip/C clamp style works great for removing the snap ring so you can get the servo out.

Thank you for your reply Mike!

I disassembled it, replaced the rings, lubed the assembly and it tested amazing!
The spring is intact and all working properly now, thank you!
