Ecm flash no communication
Lengthy first post............ 2001 Ram 1500 SLT 5.9 V8 2wd. Truck has 140,000 easy miles, always maintained. I just went through the random "no bus" engine dying ordeal and after extensive internet research replaced the crank sensor, IAC valve, throttle position sensor, and the ECM. The ECM is from Cardone and is the unit specified for the VIN # of the truck. After replacement of the ECM the ABS light and the BRAKE light remain illuminated on the dash, otherwise the truck runs fine and no longer randomly dies. I was informed this is common until the ECM is flashed to my specific vehicle. I had a tech attempt to flash the unit and he gets unable to communicate with gateway. Looking for direction here..... Possibly power distribution center or front control module? Thanks in advance................

Sounds like a wiring problem for shore. I'd say look at the connector/s to the PCM, first. If they're green n crusty or burnt, then voila. However, depending on the inside/outside time spent keeping little critters warm in the winter, you could have chewed up wires. Note: do you have any add on electronics?
