I’m putting a 5speed in my truck if you have saw my other threads but with me putting it in I came to realize my emergency brake doesn’t work what do ever. The truck will roll as like it’s not even engaged. Is there anything I can adjust or something before I go replacing the parking brake components and if I do replace them where should I start

 

When you push the pedal does the line get stiff like a guitar string?

 

what do you mean exactly? It feels as if it is working but it just isnt

 

Push the pedal down. Get under the truck and see if the cable for the parking brake is tight. If it is adjust your rear shoes.
