Default Trouble Starting on the First Try

Hey guys. I've been having a problem for a long time where my 2001 ram 1500 5.9L won't turn over on the first try. I have to turn the key from the first position to the second and repeat twice before it turns over on the third try. I've let it go for so long because I haven't had the time to look into fixing it and now it's just annoying. If anyone knows of any solutions, I'd sure appreciate it.

I was gonna say Cialis....then I was gonna say batt cables or ignition switch....but upon further reflection almost surely check valve in fuel pump or a leaking injector. Each time you turn the key you're priming the system until adequate pressure builds

Put a gauge on the fuel rail and turn the key to "on" if you don't have 49psi you have a bad fuel pump. It sounds like it's still working but not building enough pressure. And turn over and crank are the same thing and doesn't mean run/start.
