Since this rear axle was complete with brakes/drums, had limited slip and 3.92 gearing, it sold for $500 here in central VA. You can try to find one at salvage yards in your general area via car-part.com - or try your local Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, etc.

The biggest issue with '00+ will likely be parking brake cables. You can swap backing plates but that is still not as straightforward as it sounds.

OP, if you really care (and you don't need to at this point), I detailed all the differences I came across here. I went the other way, putting a good '96 rear into a 2000
