Default Water

I was driving through the rain yesterday and there were a couple spots where it started to flood over the road that I had to drive in. After going through a couple, I noticed that my truck started to have a deeper sound to it. I've noticed it one other time when the exact thing same thing happened, I was driving home going through puddles on the road. Where could water be getting that is making it sound like that? It's not affecting performance as far as I can tell, just changing the sound.

Water cooled the exhaust, changing the sound.

Any reasons why it would still be doing it?

Possibly need to drive it more to get all of the water out of the exhaust system. If the sound persists after everything has dried out, start the motor and get up under the truck to try to pinpoint the source of the sound. Could possibly be an exhaust leak if it doesn't clear up after everything has dried out.
