Default Rocker arms and push rods

Hey everyone,

Been working on replacing cylinder heads on my 5.9. Finally got the heads on and when I went to put the rocker arms and push rods back in the exact same location. I noticed I lost a bolt somewhere along the way. Dealership says 10 day wait on the bolt.

my question is can I put most of the things back together(intake, headers, ac compressor, alternator, etc) before I tighten the rocker arms?

thanks in advance

In theory yes you could put all the top side back together except where you're missing the bolt, I just always hesitate if for some reason you would need to get back in there, drop a bolt or something ect, I'd also like to know where the bolt ended up just so its not inside the engine somewhere

I bagged/labeled all the push rods and rocker arms and set them in my box. Not to sure where it went. I searched all over the engine. 100% sure it’s not in there.

Any amount of pot is too much when working on an engine. Find the bolt now or find it later. Ouch.!

My problem is once I bagged them I let them sit in the back of the box for a week before I took them out to clean them. It probably got misplaced when I was cleaning the parts. I am hoping it was in the rag pile I threw out. All good though. New bolt will be here soon
