Is there a diagram that has the colors clearly listed for the rear? I read one of the factory manuals and thats above my head. I have a second gen that is used solely as a plow/farm-truck and had the bed replaced by a flat bed. Looks like whomever did it was incredibly messy to such an extent that I need to rewire the taillights/parking lights entirely in the back.

 

What year truck ? The early wiring diagrams are a bit confusing but the later ones are pretty easy to follow. There are only 4 wires plus a ground: tail/license plate lights, brake/turn signal for each side and reverse.

 

1996/1997 (Vin says 1996, Title shows 1997)

 

On a 96/97 the colors should be:
Tail lights, license plate: Black/yellow
Left turn/brake light: Dark green/brown
Right turn/brake light: Brown/pink
Reverse lights: Violet/black
Ground: Black
