hey when i turn the wheel left or right there is this popping sound and i was just wandering what this noise was and how i could fix it.

 

I noticed this same noise on mine today.....hopefully someone will post an answer for you!!!!

 

whers the soudn coming from? front or rear? either bad links on the tracbar or tierod ends are really warn... or if its coming from the rear its the bushings that are bad on the leafs...

the above is bad on mine and clicks when i turn and drive... does it click when your parked? or driving?

 

the noise is coming from the front and it will do while your turning the wheel driving and when it is parked

 

have someone watch the track bar ball joint end when your turning the wheel back and forth, I had a pop in mine and had someone help me and there was 1/4" of play in the ball joint.....which isn't replaceable on the 99......had to get a whole new track bar for $150

 

I think i know what your talking about...almost like a really faint noise and you can feel it in the stearing a little right? if its that i was told by a dealership friend that it is a spring in the streering wheel for the airbag. It slips or something, they said it can be fixed but isnt worth it because you really shouldnt be turning the wheel while parked and it usually pops out again anyways...mines been doing it for a while...dont know if its still there or if it went away...thats probably a good thing.
