Default New Flowmaster Muffler

I just changed out my 50 series flowmaster for a 40 series delta flow. What a difference! I love the sound that I get with this new muffler. Before I had a bit of a rumble at idle but not much. And when I hit the gas it sounded almost like the stock system. Now I still get a deeper rumble at idle and when I hit the gas, you know there is a flowmaster under the truck. Take a look at this link and let me know what you think. http://media.putfile.com/Dodge-Exhaust38

Welcome to the club. That was my second upgrade, after the intake. I love the 40 Series. And it's great on the highway cause you can harly notice it until a downshift for a hill.

I'm not a big Flowmaster sound fan, personally I prefer the roar of glasspacks. I'll try to get a recording of mine made to let you hear it. Anyway, has anyone heard the new - oh, crud, I can't remember what they call it. It is Flowmaster's version of a glasspack. Hushpower II, maybe? I don't remember. It is made for hot rods and applications with limited space available.

that sounds great man. I knew you would like the 40 series better than the 50 series.

sounds sweet! did you notice any top end peformance improvement? Just curious because of the difference in design, 2 chamber vs 3 chamber...

I did not really notice any change in the performance at the top end. It seems to pull a little harder off the line, but that may be just me putting my foot in the gas so I can hear the exhaust. Even without any perforance gain, I would definately choose the 40 over the 50, can't beat the improvement in sound.

I ran a 1 in 2 out set up. It is a 2 1/2" in and dual 2 1/4" outlets. If you want to hear what it sounds like under load while driving, let me know. I have a clip of a drive by I did after changing the muffler that I can post the link to. What type of muffler are you running?
