When I turn my truck and let it run it drives normal but then I go to park while idling for a couple mins then back to drive and truck actings like it’s in neutral won’t engage drive or gear one or two so I put truck back into park turn off truck then turn back on and it’s normal again then same story all over again only turning back n and off the truck resets the problem…. Any one have any idea what to do?????

 

How's the fluid level? Is the transmission low on fluid at all after checking the fluid level while idling in neutral?
Also, does the fluid smell burnt at all and what's the color of the fluid look like?
Lastly, how many miles is on this transmission?
