Default Will 4th gen rims fit 2nd gen truck?

Took a quick search for this topic and everything I found seems to relate to the 8-bolt pattern of the 3/4 ton trucks. I'm wondering if the regular 17" 5-bolt aluminum rims from the 2009-12 half tons will fit a '01 1500?

Yes, they will fit fine. Just need to make sure that the tire you use with them isn't so tall or wide that they will rub, especially in the front. You can review wheel interchange information at this site - https://www.detroitwheelandtire.com/dodge/ram-1500/

yes they fit, I run a set off a 2010 TRX Ram 1500 265/65/20's on my 2001, basically 33's. I have four 1500 rams, just wanted them all to run the same tire size, for those just in case moments.
