Default 1994 Transmission rebuild

I have a 94 1500 and according to the information under the hood it has an A518. I need a rebuild, but I知 really thinking about doing it myself. I致e included pictures of the vehicle info, plus what I found in the pan. I知 wanting to hear from folks who have rebuilt these trannys. What issues did you run into? What was the degree of difficulty. What rebuild kit is recommended? Thanks In advance

They are easy to rebuild if you follow the Transmissionbench.com procedures. Since it has an overdrive, it will be a 46rh transmission. If that goop is from yours, you'll have to disassemble per the Transmission bench and see what type of damage was done. The valve body will need disassembled to clean it and see if any of the valves/bores are dirty. A rebuild kit with frictions and steels minimum. You will need other parts as you disassemble. Access to a small/big press is needed for 1 part to compress springs.
