rust on my new headers... already :(
put my headers on maybe 3 1/2 months ago..and looked at them today and noticed little rust spots all over them... i know they are from it them getting hot then cold then hot then cold... and it being moist out from ran/snow.. but already? they are ceramic coated too.... i was wondering if ic ould paint them with a hightemp paint or something...or am i just outaluck?
edelbrock shorties... ceramic coated.

I would call Edelbrock, and tell them you want replacements. They are really good about customer service from my experience.
I also have the Edelbrock ceramic shorties. Had them for about 5 months so far. I have not noticed any problems with them so far.
If mine rust out, I am going with some custom long tubes, even if I have to make them myself. Or else Gibson shorties. People seem to have good things to say about Gibson headers on Rams.

Are you sure it's rust? And not just spots in the coating?
You could always get them wrapped. It's better than coating anyway. Or get them JET HOT coated. That's the best. It's usually hard to find a place locally that will do that though, unless you live in a large metropolitan area. [>:]

actually u cant wrap the ceramic coated ones..atleast thats what edelbrock told me... itll make them rot out 10 times faster b/c the wrap traps the moister under them... ill call them monday and find out........

You should still be able to wrap them, even if they're coated [>:] Maybe Edelbrock just isn't making top quality headers anymore. That could be the case if yours are rusting out already. [>:]
Either way, this is still the best option: http://www.jet-hot.com/
Like I said, finding someone locally that does it would be a good thing though.
I've heard nothing but good things form the Turbo GP community about it. I'm sending the manifolds, x-over, and exhaust turbine housing from one of my turbo cars this summer to get jet coated.

I have the exact same set and mine are the same way... took no time at all either.
It's mainly discoloration from heat... not really rusty... just a tad. I can take a pic of mine if you want to compare... ?
I still love my headers though...
