94 ram
Hey, i have a 94 ram 1500 with the 5.9 liter engine..... I got a remanufatured engine put in it about 3 months ago and it just going on and on and on i keep having to replace alot of things. Ok well the first problem i am having is my engine temperature.... when i got the new engine they replaced the radiator and waterpum, the water pump i am thinking he got from a junk yard or something because i really doubt that it is new but it is definetly better then what was in the truck before. The last engine needed a valve job and some other stuff and it was a work truck so my dad just kind of let it sit aside it sat for about a year
i think this was really bad for it. When i got the truck back the fan was on constantly it never shut off so i got a new fan clutch before i replaced the fan clutch the temp was at 200 and i never had a problem but its not normal for the fan to never shut off. The day i replaced the fan clutch i took it out for a drive and got on the gas and it was a totally different truck it gained alot of power with the new fanclutch but i looked down and the temp was over 200.......this problem went on and i replace the stat with a 180. When i drive the truck if im not carefull the gauge will go all the way to the end in the red and when you drive it slowly or on the freeway or coast the temperature will go down. i have seen people say that when the temp goes up to put it in nuetral and revv it, i tried this and it got hotter...... i got a new distributor hoping that would fix it cause my other one was bad i replaced the cap and still nothing i have coolant and water in it. I took it to the radiator shop yesterday and he said its either the fan clutch it defective.. my water pumps bad.. or my sending unit is bad... i have herd from people many dodges have had this problem.. does anyone know what it could be? im going to replace the sending unit soon maby tomorrow.. does it sound like thats what it is? has anyone had this problem?
Also how do you find out what differential you have? is there a code or something in the glovebox? my truck is a 94 1500 ram with a 5.9 and its an xlt does anyone know?
Another problem i have is when i punch it to the ground my truck will go up all the way to the redline and it will missshift or something like that and it will just sit at the redline untill i let off then it will shift... could it be that my throttle and transmission cables need adjustment i replace thecable that goes to the tranny...
thanks alot craig

Also...your TV cable is out of adjustment...if not you can adjust your 1st to 2nd bands tighter..but thats only a bandage over broken a bone. Hit me up in AIM... grandprixlq1... i have few questions for you about your 1994 Ram as i have one as well.
