Default What is "Magnum" about my truck?
On the side of my 2000 Ram I just bought it says MAGNUM. What is magnum about it? Marketing perhaps? It's just a 318 in a regular 2wd long box.

The full name for the "hemi" motor is "Hemi Magnum" People leave the magnum part off because it sounds "cooler"...I guess [>:]

basically the 360 has a larger displacement and henceforth a higher output. also, poorer gas mileage and i dont think you can get it with a manual tranny

The 360 was available with a standard transmission. The 360 is also balanced.
