Replacing front axle seals, any tips?
I am replacing leaking front axle seals on my 98 1500 4wd next week. Any tips from those who have replaced them before as I have never done them before? I did watch a couple of you tube videos. I have the inner seals and am guessing they are the only ones. I also have a seal driver kit and some threaded rod to seat the new seals. I ordered a new cork gasket for the CAD. Anything I am missing?
I know how to pull the hubs, as I recently did a new hub and did new u-joints on both sides, which is why it's now leaking now, since I probably messed up the seals when re-installing the axle shafts

Those seals get hard over the years and removing/installing the axles likely disturbed the seals enough to no longer seal properly. There are several threads on this forum that discusses the replacement of the axle seals, but sounds like you're on the right track..
Yep get a ball joint press kit with the stepped cups. They'll engage the axle tubes at the inner C's to locate your all-thread and act as a giant washer for your nut

Everything was going well, but got to the point of removing the front differential and it won’t come out. Can’t find any videos of anyone removing it, they just skip over it and say it is out now after some trouble. Anyone remove the front differential and if so any tips? Axle shafts and intermediate shaft removed, differential bearing caps removed. Am I missing something?
I borrowed a case spreader from a friend and used it gingerly to remove the carrier. It worked great, but you don't want to go crazy spreading the case - just enough to get the carrier out and no more..
