Default aftermarket radio speaker failure

I drive a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 extended cab, and I recently swapped out my stock radio for an aftermarket one while keeping the stock speakers. After installing the new radio, I could play music fine for a few hours. Suddenly, I lost sound in all four speakers. The radio still has power and can tune and adjust volume, but no sound is coming from the speakers. I checked all fuses, and nothing seems to be blown. Any ideas?

Sounds like your aftermarket radio may have lost its amplification or a connection may have come loose. Might want to try your stock radio to see if the speakers power up.
