Good Morning my 96 ram 1500 had a stock head unit which im trying to replace with an aftermarket bluetooth deal off amazon...my swap went ok, i have power to the radio and heard sound through the door speakers briefly.... but somehow do not have sound currently.... any ideas tips tricks? my line of thought would be to run a secondary 12v hot and try to power random stuff in the radio harness until i hear sound.... as i think i may have a hot just not the right hot hooked up? I think the power problem somehow is linked to when i crank the truck everythink powers on but the radio power is somehow tied to the headlamp switch too? im clearly green with auto electric diagnosis anyone have the ability to talk me through this? Thanks and Happy early Turkey day! Shes a beaut clark!

Did you use the proper adapters to plug into your chassis electrical system or did you whack the wires and go the sketchy route? If you wire the adapters by the directions, I've never had an issue. If you snip wires, each connector has to be done right or no joy. Just one loose connection will shut you down. I dread working on something someone put a "system" into as the wires are usually just cut hither and yon and getting them rewired is a major pain.
