Angry Replaced ignition cylinder, key will no longer start the truck!

Hey, y'all, I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L v8 4WD, and recently my ignition cylinder went out on me. I put in the replacement part, which is identical to the old one and is the correct part. With the new key and new cylinder, I can turn the key into all of the accessory modes, like when you click the key backward once for just the stereo having power, or turning the key forward to all the accessories having power. However, as soon as you turn the key to ignite the engine and crank the starter, nothing happens. The accessories used to turn off on the only cylinder when I would go to crank the engine, but now when I turn the key absolutely nothing happens and the accessories stay on (dashboard lights, seatbelt buzzer, stereo, etc). The only way I've been able to start my truck and get it running is by putting the key in, turning it to accessory mode, then going up to the engine bay and jumping the starter relay with literally just a 14 gauge wire with two connector ends on each side. the starter then will start, and I can drive my truck once the engine turns over, but obviously, this is not ideal for it being my daily truck.
I've looked all over the interwebs trying to find someone with the same problem as me, but no one has it. I made sure that everything was connected and set up as it was before, including the ignition cylinder and the ignition switch.

If any of y'all have any ideas of what it could be please let me know, thanks!

Do you have full movement to the crank position?
