Default 3" body lift and 3" suspension lift?

Need some thoughts and opinions on an idea im considering. Ive got a 98 1500 2wd 5.2. I have a 3 inch lift, blocks and pucks on there. The suspension lift for sure improved the height but the height has never seemed fullfiling to me. Ive seen people talk about body lifts before and id like to take a look into that since i cant really go much further in terms of suspension. I know it doesnt increase clearance or anything, but im looking for just cosmetic, and maybe for some bigger tires in the future. How much harder is a body lift and what kind of cons may i expirience?? and before anyone tells me to "just get a 4x4", no, this truck has emotional value and its my first truck. I also dont have the room at the moment for a 2nd truck. Thanks for the help.

Bed is easy, loosen one side and remove bolts from the other side. Lift the bed with floor jack, place the lift pucks and longer bolts, but don't tighten them. Repeat on the other side. Fuel filler neck should be long enough, may need to loosen up the tail light loom. Check that bed is nice and square to the cab and tighten the bolts.
Use the same method with the cab, but pay attention to a few things; you may need to trim the lower part of the fan shroud, brake lines should have enough slack to strecth, and there's a wiring loom behind the left front tire that is secured to the frame in front of the body mount. Shifter rod may need more lenght, there is some to adjust but may not be enough. Parking brake cable, can't recall which way it goes, under or over the body mount, but that's one thing to look up for. And of course the steering shaft, it may have enough to slide out, but that I'm not sure. All that done and checked, place the pucks, check that cab is square to bead , and torque the bolts.
Last thing to do, is to lift the bumpers using appropriate brackets.
