I'll pull the gauge cluster and temperature controls out on my '96 Ram (since my bezel is off as of now) and have a good look to see if I can find the connector & wiring for the fog lights. I'll try to do so sometime Sunday or Monday. If I find it, I'll report back with photos. I installed the fog lights behind the bumper some time ago, but never finalized the wiring, as I was hoping to find the factory wiring already there. I also have the OEM fog light switch, so I just need to find that connector (if it's there) and add the fog light relay.
Would dodge have a secondary fog light relay under dash nd the relay has a little bit big orange and black stripe wire on relay and the wire harness thing i found has a smaller orange with black stripe wire but the foglight button doesnt plug into that harness the harness connectors are a lil small but how its wired 2 wires on one side of wire harness and 3 at the bottom like the switch
I doubt it. The factory fog light relays should be plugged into the PDC under the hood of the truck to enable the fog light harness. May also need a fuse as well.
I pulled the cluster out of my truck today. Behind it were two plastic windows. On the left side closest to the driver's side door, the wiring came into the back of the cluster. Didn't see any other wiring tucked behind the cluster. Unfortunately, may lower dash is cracking up badly, so I didn't really tear into the dash to find the harness. I do have the factory OE fog light switch installed that I had pulled out of another truck. In the back of the OE fog light switch was the connector that has 5 wires running to it that I cut from the other parts truck. Listed below are photos of the rear and front of the connector. If you get a few moments, take a look behind your dash to see if you can find it.
F from wat i gathered lookin at wiring diagrams it does hook up to light switch to power the switch so ive now been on the hunt i did find under dash a group of wires that go behind a plastic and foam isalater that go up to behind the cluster sumwhere but i cant for the life of me pull out instrment gauges its too tight 2marrow i might pull it a lil bit and shove the boroscope into therr
