i got a 1999 ram 5.9 with off road package can anyone tell me what size axles, gears comes stock and a good place to order from

 

Dana 44 front, Chrysler 9.25 Corporate Rear, 4.10 Gear Ratio, Anti-Spin rear differential

im running 315/70/17 right now and im fixing to get 37/13/17 u thing i should switch to 4.56 gears?

isnt that as big as i can go for running gears? how big can i go for the dana 44 front

 

Kind of off the topic, but I thought they didn't start making an off road package until 2000.

I had read this before on a few different sites. This is the reason I asked about the off road package being on a 99. "2000 Dodge Ram Pickup: A new Off Road Group brought increased ground clearance and wheel travel to short-bed, regular-cab, and Quad Cab 4WD Rams. It included 17-inch alloy wheels, a limited-slip differential, tow hooks, skid plates, and other heavy-duty equipment."

 

You're going to need a lift to run 37" tires. And you'll probably need different rims with more offset if you're going to run 13" wide tires. And you'd definitely need to go with 4.56 gears. You can go higher than 4.56s, but you'd need to change your whole differential, as I don't think the stock carriers will accept anything above 4.56. Plus your gas mileage will take a big hit with both larger tires and 4.56 gears. It would take an even larger hit if you went with a higher ratio. [>:]

 

i have a 5" tough country lift with three inch body and i was wondering if i could clear 38" or maybe even bigger

 

my buddy mack had an 01 ram,,,w/o the offroad package... he had 3 inch suspension and 3 inch body lift.. and he .. SOMEHOW fit 40's on it... neeedlesss to say we spent a few hours with the sawsall to clear them.. he's an idiot... he loves lamps....
