I put a new CD deck in my 98 1500 sport and now I have no blower controls. I dont know if these to are related or just coincidence. I can get it to change from defrost to vent and so on but the blower motor will not run at all so warm air just kinda drifts out of the vents. Anyone have similar problem ?

 

if i rember they are vacum opreated and you might have nocked some hoses off or broke a cracked hose off when you put the new stero in.

 

Yep check wires and hoses to make sure you recconnected everything you disconnect. I have never done one on a Dodge Ram so I don't know if you have to unplug wires but I know on most others I've worked with you do. So if you did make sure they are all connected. Also maybe check the fuse for those things.

 

nope you dont touch any of the HVAC controls when you install a deck on our rams... the deck is in a sperate "hole" .. you might have hacked into a wire bundle that goes there.. OR could have wired something up bass ackwards and blew a series of fuzes too... check fuzes then tear into your wiring that you did to check everything

 

Have pulled the deck out to check it and saw no cracked hoses or pinched wires. I wired up the deck w/ a wiring harness so I only had to cut the ground wire to but a different connector on it. Guess I'll pull the controls out and start testing wires.
