MT2500 Help
I recently purchased the MT2500 at a good price. It came with all the goods.. except a few keys.
I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L, I have the proper cartridges and troubleshooters.
When I input the VIN, and attempt any diagnostics of any sort, I get an unable to communicate error. It asks for key K13, which I have and used.
I am at a loss of what I need to do here. Do I need a K13A key? I have another OBD2 Scan Tool and it hooks up and works fine. I have the Global Diagnostics Cartridge and it hooks up and reads just fine.

Edit - I have also connected it to a GM Vehicle without issue.
OBD2 Powers on the scanner to both Dodge trucks when plugged in as well.

What cartridges do you have at hand ? A 1996 to 2000 primary cartridge should communicate with your 2001 RAM if you use a 2000 VIN. If that fails the problem is with the OBD port wiring. Vice versa, a 2001 cartridge can communicate with 2000 Dodge so you can verify the cartridge.
Keep in mind basic OBD2 functionality uses different pins in the connector than the advanced diags so the fact that generic OBD2 works does not mean everything will work.

I realized I have an OBD2-B Adapter with the MT2500. I am assuming I may need an OBD2-A Adapter instead?
