I'm not entirely sure what the proper name of this is, but a small fire burned up the vacuum hose that controls the blend door and I am not sure where to install the new one.
Here is a video of what I am talking about.

 

That vacuum line goes in through the firewall around the heater core inlet/outlet tubes to feed the controls for the HVAC box. It should plug into the vacuum line off the intake manifold. There should also be a check valve in there to stop the wild vents from occurring. You can patch it up by cutting out the burned portions and joining the round salvageable pieces with standard rubber vacuum hose.
