My boss gave me some Teraflex upper ball joints for a Jeep JK Rubicon Dana 44 and the dimensions look about the same as the ones on my 2001 Ram 1500. I'm kind of surprised because I thought the JK D44 was much different than other Dana 44s. I haven't tried putting them in yet though. I need to get my hands on some Jeep JK D44 lower ball joints so I can check the fit.

Anyone know anything about this?

 

Playing around on the rockauto web site (clicking on the blue part# shows where the part is used) it appears the upper ball joints are indeed the same between a 2nd gen Ram and a Jeep JK. Moog and Mevotech products show that. That's not the case for the lower though.

 

If you check the Dana parts breakdown it lists 40916(Spicer #/Dodge 2001) as the upper, You have to go by the BOM# to know the lower. You could cross reference the Spicer # and see if crosses to the Teraflex #.
