Hey yall,

So my 01 V10 Automatic is suddenly having tranny issues, it will redline in first if you let it without shifting to 2nd. The only way to shift(to third) is to rev to 3k and let all the way off until you feel the jerk and slowly accelerate again. If you’re under 25 it won’t shift at all. Is it my Tranny control solenoid? I just got it not that long ago as a project truck, but this has me stumped.

 

Is the transmission full of ATF+4 fluid? Have you tried hooking up a scanner and seeing if you have any stored or pending trouble codes that may help with the diagnosis?
