Default P1391 Code

Getting a P1391 code (code in the Check Engine light) in my 99 5.2.

Says online it’s usually a crankshaft or camshaft position sensor.

Anyone have any experience with this? Is it usually the actual sensors, or timing, etc?

thanks!

Have you cleaned the connections? Do you know what brand sensors are currently in your truck?

Typically, it's the crankshaft sensor. Please be sure to install an OEM sensor or possibly a Delphi. Aftermarket crank sensors tend to cause issues.
