I found this connector under the dash near the hood release. The yellow dongle with the green plug was not in the plug it was taped to the wiring harness by the firewall. Out of curiosity I thought it would fit and it does. I don't know what it's for and why it was empty and have removed the yellow wire dongle until I know more. Any ideas???
Think it might be the rolls test connector that is assembly plant use only, however why have the yellow connector dongle wired to another harness by the firewall for it?

I think that's the bypass for the clutch interlock switch. But the truck shouldn't have started without the loop (assuming it's an automatic). Unless somebody hacked the wiring somewhere else.

This was my first though, but even on auto trucks I've seen the connector is not pinned to the firewall its just loosely floating by the hole in teh firewall, also its always been a green connector housing in my experience, yes the jumper is green but not the other connector
