Default PCM help....

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 that I posted about only having 2nd & 3rd gear....it's is now determined to an issue with the PCM....we all came to this decision because even after clearing the code P0743 it pops back on at the turn of the key before even starting or driving the truck....so the question is can the old PCM be flashed or reprogramed? or is there anything else that can help fix this issue or should we be looking at something else?

The PCM can be re-flashed but it very likely won't change anything. The P0743 criteria is monitored continuously when the ignition is on, it doesn't require running/driving the vehicle so no surprise it comes back immediately. See here for a flow chart what to check: P0743 troubleshooting You have to be creative because it assumes having a DRBIII or similar diag tool but you could back probe connections and just start the engine.
