Sway Bar Nut stripped
So by the time I drilled it and tapped it to use a helicoil the nut was gone. I have about 2 threads holding the helicoil in. I also used high strength loctite to hold the helicoil in. The bolt did tighten so I guess you would call that a fix? Haha. I definitely will be revisiting this later. Now to figure out the poor fuel economy and lack of power.
Could even make it out of stainless but technically stainless doesn't weld to mild super well, although I think it would be strong enough.
If you need to revisit I can make you a flanged "nut" you can weld into the frame. Think nutsert with a larger round flange for more real estate to weld around. If the flange is relatively thin (say 3/32" to 1/8") it won't kick the sway bar link out of alignment hardly enough to matter I'd think.

Also have an idea that might work. Get a plate and weld two nuts to it (same distance as the factory one. Cut a small hole in the side of the frame and cut notches at the bottom. Slide the plate it (plat would be same width as inside the frame. The use the notches cut to weld the plate to the frame.

I thought about it, but I had to many spin on me. I would like to use the new octagon nutserts, but the tool is too pricey for my blood.
