Actualy there is a big difference between having a bad o2 sensor and none at all. The reason a bad o2 sensor causes your truck to act up and run bad is because the signal that is going to the computer from the o2 is all jacked up and can cause you to run to rich or to lean. If you were to remove you o2 sensors completely you will sometimes not always notice a drop in fuel economy because the computer still relies on alot of different sensors to adjust your air fuel mixture. It is like when you unplug your iat sensor the computer sets the intake air temperature to a set -40f (nice trick right before you race) but the computer will still rely on other sensors to help balance out you fuel economy.
