Truck only runs with OBD pins 4-5 jumped

You mixed that up with pin 4 I guess. 2000 and 2001 are identical AFAIK, this is from the 2001 FSM

That was it! I had missed the ground that is tied in with the fuel injector harness. I moved the stud up to the top hole and placed both grounds on the stud and the truck runs without the homemade jumper and the no bus issue is gone. I'm glad it was this easy! Thank you to everyone that chimed in!
