Is anyone running the Gibson shorty headers? I was doing some research on them and found this dyno chart showing the power gain from bolting these headers on. Check out the gains for the 5.2 they are claiming down at the bottom of the chart. Has anyone running these headers seen this type of gain or is Gibson just padding their numbers? It is hard to get the chart to copy correctly, but it is showing an increase of 40 horsepower and 59 in the torque column.

i know steve is runnin them and loves them... i got th edelbrock shorties and i really would like to take them off and take a big dumb on them and send them back... 4 months after putting them on...they are starting to rust

 

My brother runs them and a Gibson exhaust on his '94 Ram Sport with the 5.9 and he said neither did much for his truck, although his truck is stock other than he just put in some 1.7 rockers which he said made the biggest difference. I personally like the Gibson's the best. Maybe with a few other mods you could see those gains-not sure. Nice looking truck you have there off_road_teacher!

Don't dump on them send them to me!![sm=drooldude.gif] I have yet to get any but soon I will, right schott. They will have to be shorties though cuz I dont want to change my whole exuast.

 

well depending on what edlebrock says on monday .. maybe i can swindle a new pair form them...that would kick ***!
