how to get it nice and clean
hey all
for those of you who bought your truck Used from the dealer ship, and when you looked under the hood, were like "WOW SHE IS SO CLEAN"
(you know, the black is realy black, and the hoses are nice and clean, and there is no dirst splashed up on the hood, ect
well can auto detaling shops restore that look.
if not, where and how does the dealership get it so clean?

Most of the time they don't get it that clean. They just wash the engine bay, and then spray shiny crap all over it.
I hate it when they do that, because that stuff is hard to get off. [:@]

when i detailed at a chevy dealership (dont hate me!) we had a pressurewasher with a built in steam cleaner.. did an awesome job especially with up here in the north with allt he salt ... made an engine bay and undercarage look brand new.. ive been using this stuff called simplegreen witch helps cutting into organic stuff like mudd and dust... helps talk the elbow grease outa tryin to detail your engine bay...witch usually lasts like 3 days b/c if the huge gaping holes the engine bay has .. anytime you can look straight down and see ground usualyl means your engine is gonna get hella dirty
One word GUNK. I have used it for years.
In the wash bays for the buses we have a spray called Purple Clean. It cleans everything, tar bugs "grease" road grime.
