I am just wondering if anyone has swaped the metal chrome mirrors on the 94-97 2nd gen to the 98-01 3rd gen plastic mirrors. Do they fit direct bolt on. Please help

 

Lots of people have had this question. I want to know too but it seems nobody has tried it because theres never a straight foward answer.

 

pretty sure they do... since the body styles didnt change dramtically..im sure that the mountin surface looks the same

 

I did the swap on my 95 RAM truck.. the wiring connector is different from the newer style mirrors verses the older style mirrors. I'm in the process of updating my interior, I'll try to take a picture of the wire colors...I had to do some trial and error with the wiring, but I eventually figured it out. The mirror's work as there suppose to.

Also, the new style mirrors have defrost option, I didn't hook those up.. don't have a need here in South Florida..

yah im pritty shure thell bolt up but you half to change the wirring
