I was diving my truck 50 mph when drop down to 40 then 30 mph had no power 1998 1500 dodge 4x4 5.2 318 motor would run had no power. I but in new fuel pump cell now

it will not start so pulled all the fuel injectors out cleaned them out they where dirty. But them back in with new O rings fuel pump is working all the spark plugs are black if my O2

sensors bad or my cat pluged up stop motor from starting.

 

in extreme casses yea... but you would have noticed loss in power and performance if your cat was backed up that bad... maybe its time for a tune up...plugs cap rotor wires... r u getting fuel to the injectors? no offense but did you install the fuelpump right? obvioulsy you can hear it kick on so its got power... see if you got any spark...pull a plug and lay it on the motor and have someone crank the engine in the dark..if you see a pretty blue arc then your getting spark.. any CEL's come on? bad 02 sensor wont just stop th emotor but just make it run really crappy...

 

Before I lost power to truck I changed the cap' rotor' plugs ' and wires . when hold pedal to floor it wants try to strart let up it die out

 

If it stalls out like that could could be the cat [&:] As well as a thousand other things.
