tranny valve body install, need help

Default tranny valve body install, need help
I removed the valve body to install a shift kit, and the linkage connected to the rooster comb
(gear selector) came with it, that 1ft piece of rod, not sure the exact name, will not reset back into the rear of the trans. I am at a stand still, any suggestions?

Never mind, figured it out. IF anyone else has this trouble, you just have to spin the rear wheels to let the linkage engage.

yeah when I installed my shift kit ,that long rod scared the HELL out of me!!!!![]
