zeek is coming home!! Rock on! Be prepared for that humidity man! While your there stop down in Macon and head over to Savannah, but before you go to Savannah read the book (if you haven't already) Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. Its based upon a true story that happened there.

Thanks guys for the info.
Only 2 damn inches over stock. Good lord that cant be right. I'll check the sites you guys all gave.
I tried for alaska as my number 1 choice and georgia was my number 2. For me to get a slot someone has to move out of it. Alaska has limited slots for my job and I guess no one left. But It's np the houses are much cheaper in Ga then Alaska. Now I get to learn all about Joint Stars. Thats a radar plane that tracks tanks and land objects.
Where are the main ORV parks near Atlanta?
thanks for all the kind words.
Id like to hear from anyone in GA that was a lifted truck to see if the cops dont bother you. I know sometimes lift laws are on the books but there is no enforcement. Or if you in Illinois they rag you all the time.
Is there a window tint law in GA?
Do you run with 2 lic plates or 1?
thanks again

One thing you apparently are forgetting is this....
When you are in the military....the laws of the state your stationed in do NOT always apply. The fact of the matter is....if you are a resident of another state....and your vehicle is registered in that state.....then you are only upheld to the laws of the state you are from.
My ex-wife had Limo tint on her ride, and in Florida they would repeatedly stop her.....and then they'd go oh your military blah blah see ya!
Before you worry about GA's laws....I'd figure out if you even need to concern yourself with this.....

i tried that crap with the local cops in SC... they know better... its VERY specific when it comes to vehicle laws like that... the only time that i know that it doesnt affect the law where your vehicle is registerd and insured in is the liscence plate placement... all other laws apply... if you have a 56" lift on a truck and you move to GA... you have to abided by there laws.. but if you only have 1 licence plate from SC... then thats fine...
but you never know what you can get away with

Hmmm good points. I have usa plates on my car in germany. They do not allow any tint on your cars side windows here. Unless you have usa plates. They dont even bother pulling me over. All the guys on the base tint the crap out of the windows. Now im sure they could give me a ticket since im living here but they do not. For tax resons I choose Illinois for my legal address. But Illiinois is a crappy state for lifting trucks and window tint. Im betting georgia is better than Il. I will contact a 4x4 club there and ask. Thanks for the info guys. And for the record Im hoping my 5 inch lift will not get harrassed. Cant you drive as crazy as you want in gerorgia? I saw smokey and the bandit. And I saw the dukes of hazzard. No rules in georgia right?
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! theres like countys in Georgia that the cops are the most annal in the US. i saw it on cops once.
Zeek I am military and the local laws do not apply to your vehicle if your home of record and vehicle registration are from another state. They cannot force you to register in that state or abide by that state's vehicle restrictions.
Illinois police tried getting me while I spent the summer with my dad. I called thier bluff and they backed down pretty quick.
