power loss on hwy?

same prob, 5.2 5spd

5th gear kinda sucks, and if i am in 5th on the slightest up hilll, wow no power

5th gear is basically Overdrive. Gotta learn to downshift on inclines no matter what 4-speed or 5-speed you are driving.

Would going to 3.55 gears make much of a difference or would I be better off with a 3.92 rear end instead?

3.92 would be best. Right now with 3.21's and 31" tires your quite a ways out of the power band.
