i was thinking about putting an aftermarket tach and trans temp gauge in my truck and i was just wondering how hard it was to hook them up

Tachs are really easy with basic wiring knowledge. As for the trans temp guage the only way I know how to do it is put the sensor in the trans pan. They sell pans with holes in them for the sensors.

well i have a 1999 ram 2500 v8 with 4x4 and it is like a standard truck because i have no tach no power windows, locks, mirrors so basically anything the Laramie SLT has i dont and i want a tach because my tranny is starting to go out and i was just wondering what my rpms were looking like

so how do you hook up an aftermarket tach to one of these 2nd gen. trucks? Is finding an identical year instrument panel with a tach an easy way as well?
