Default Need desperate tranny help!!!!!!

Okay....I have read some of your post and a little concerned. I own a 2001 1500 4x4, I have been having problems lately when starting from a complete stop.....It will NOT shift into the next gear until I let off the gas. I have it in the shop right now and they're saying the 2nd gear band broke. Is this a fairly common occurance with 2nd Gen Dodge's? My extedend warranty with this truck is hassling me saying that they may not cover it. Any input would be very much apperciated and valued.
Thanks

Yes, tranny is broke. Yes it needs to be rebuilt and a new converter put in it also. Your warranty should pay for it. Common on Dodge trucks. Sorry! [sm=alcoholic.gif]

if you need a new tranny, see if you can get a rebuilt one from http://www.apsprecision.com they have built some pretty bullet proof trannys.

Once you get the truck back, get the biggest tranny cooler you can for the front of the radiator. cooler tranny = longer life.

Aside from the tranny cooler, synthetic fluilds help it run cooler and may want to also add an oversized oil pan with a temp sensor in it and gauge.
