Is my tranny going out?
Drivers side is always the left, atleast to techs. Think of it this way, when you are sitting in the truck driving what side are you on? Socha forgot to mention that it could also be an injector. Depending on how long its been since you last had a tune-up (I am assuming a while since you didn't seem to be too upset about having to replace the wires) you may consider plugs, wires, a cap and rotor. It is money well spent as it will increase your performance and gas mileage.
