I have 285's on my 98 sport 4x4 now and I get slight rubbing with the wheels fully turned. I was jst wondering if I got these rim http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...9.7&vid=005491
the offset would be towards the wheel well or outward from the truck. Thanx

Don't know about the rims, but I have the same problem. My buddy has a 2001 slt with 285's on his truck with no problems. I also have a 98 sport. I figured that they fit on his they should fit on my truck. I was thinking of putting front coil springs from a 2500 on for now. I plan on a lift someday but the funds are a little low for that right now. I only need about 1 inch of extra clearance, does anyone know if this will work for me?

The springs won't give you any lift, only stiffness. Get a set of leveling blocks that will put you where you want to be fairly inexpensively too.

The rims will stick out a LOT farther. Stock offset is +14ish. These have an offset of -11. [>:] Kind of extreme for 285s. These rims will cause accelerated wear on your truck as well, since your are moving the mounting away from the centerline of the wheel and the rest of the wheel out away from the truck.

Also, depending on how far they stick out once actually on the truck, you may have to get fender flares to be legal, as in most areas you can't have rims/tires sticking out from your fenders.

They look good sticking out some. I don't know how far those wheels would as I didn't really look but I like the tires sticking out the side look. The only thing I don't like about them is they throw rocks and **** up all over the truck behind each tire my truck has lots of rock chips on the lower section from rocks flying up and mud always gets up there also.
