Which would be better for retaining/boosting low end power on my 01, simply cutting out my current glass pack muffler and replacing it with a straight through muffler like a magnaflow and keeping all the 2.5 inch in/out piping or going to a single 3 inch catback system like magnaflow or the jba evol system? Also, how much of a benefit could I see from replacing my stock converter with a universal high flow converter?

I am looking to do something in the next couple of weeks so I appreciate any and all feedback.

 

2.5 is to big for duels. 2.25 would give you back quite a bit of low end. Or just the single 3" like you said.

 

Sorry, I wasnt completely clear. I meant a single 2.5 inch in/out or a single 3 inch in/out. Which would give me the most performance especially on the low end?

 

I'd probably go with a 3" if it was single. Factory is 2.5 and you would deffenitially notice a diffrence going to a single 3"
