Default Strange electrical problem?

Here's a wierd one. I can be driving maybe a half hour or more with my seat belt on when the seat belt light suddenly comes on the the seat belt will lock. If I open the driver side door then close it, the seat belt will release then maybe 5 seconds later the seatbelt light will extinguish. The whole thing may happen again in 5 minutes or thirty or forty. Any ideas about what may be happening?

Try plugging and unplugging the connectors under both the drivers and passengers seats. As ryans590 said, they can be loose or dirty. I fixed the same problem on my truck by doing this.
