Will your truck give you the code if you turn the ignition on off on off on off on or whatever its flip it 3 times and the digital odometer reads the code on mine then you can post it up to see what it is. I'm not sure if a 98 will do that or not.

 

no 98's and some earley 99's dont read out codes we got screwed on that lol the only was to get them is with a code reader
