wheel interchange

can any of you tell me if the rims (16") of a 98 will work on an 05 ram,both are two wheel drive my brother wants to buy some wheels from my neighbor and he (my brother)lives about 100 miles away from me so he cant try them bfore he buys them

i forgot my brothers ram has 17" rims dont know if there will be a prob with brake clearance

I would definetly make sure of the size of the brake set up. The lug pattern is the same 5X5.5 the only difference is the lug size.

They're both 5 on 5.5 so it should work. Like you said just have to check the brakes.

Not a problem. I'm running 15" X 10" on a 97. In 98 or 99 they went to larger brakes and 15" wont work after that.

Make sure you measure the backspacing too. I recall reading that the new trucks had different backspacing then the 2nd gens.
